Coffee Cocktail Recipes

Espresso Martini

You Will Need:

45ml Kahlúa

30m espresso

30ml vodka

 

Method

  1. In a cocktail shaker, pour the vodka, espresso and Kahlúa over ice.
  2. Shake up the mixture and strain the drink into a martini glass.

 

Dark and Stormy Coffee

You Will Need:

30ml dark rum

30ml tequila

3 tbsp freshly brewed coffee

Ginger beer to top off

 

Method

  1. Pour the rum, tequila and coffee into a highball glass filled with ice.
  2. Stir the drink to combine.
  3. Top off the drink with ginger beer and serve.

 

Hot White Russian

You Will Need:

600ml freshly brewed coffee

120ml heavy cream

120ml coffee liqueur

60ml vodka

Whipped heavy cream to top if desired

 

Method

  1. In a saucepan, combine fresh coffee, cream, vodka and coffee liqueur and heat over moderate heat.
  2. Stir the mixture to ensure all ingredients well-combined.
  3. Divide drink between four mugs and serve with a dollop of whipped cream on top.

 

Coffee Old Fashioned

You Will Need:

Double shot espresso

30ml Bourbon

10ml simple syrup

A dash of bitters

Lemon peel to garnish

 

Method

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in the espresso, Bourbon, bitters and syrup.
  2. Stir with a long spoon and then strain the drink into a short glass filled with ice.
  3. Garnish the drink with a strip of lemon peel and serve.

 

Colorado Bulldog

You Will Need:

30ml Kahlúa (or similar coffee liqueur)

30ml vodka

30ml cream

Cola to top

 

Method

  1. In a cocktail shaker, pour the Kahlúa, vodka and cream over ice.
  2. Strain the drink into a short glass filled with ice, but don’t fill to the brim.
  3. Top the glass up with cola and serve.

 

Irish Coffee

You Will Need:

150ml freshly brewed coffee

50ml Irish whiskey

40ml double cream

1 tsp brown sugar

 

Method

  1. Lightly whip the cream, so it is slightly thicker and set aside.
  2. In a heatproof cup, pour in the coffee, whiskey and sugar.
  3. Stir the liquid mixture until the sugar has dissolved.
  4. Add the cream to the top of the drink, so that it floats on the top.
  5. Serve while hot.

 

Affogato Martini

You Will Need:

60ml vanilla vodka

30ml Kahlúa (or similar coffee liqueur)

15ml creme de cocoa

1 scoop vanilla ice cream

 

Method

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, crème de cocoa and Kahlúa with only a couple of ice cubes. Shake until chilled.
  2. Pour the drink into a martini glass.
  3. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the glass and serve with a spoon.

 

Café Amore

You Will Need:

30ml Cognac (or other Brandy)

30ml Amaretto

180ml fresh black coffee

Shaved almonds and whipped cream to garnish

 

Method

  1. Pour the amaretto and cognac into a cup.
  2. Top up the cup with hot coffee.
  3. Add a topping of whipped cream to the cup and sprinkle over some shaved almonds.

 

Maple Bourbon Coffee

You Will Need:

240ml freshly brewed black coffee

30ml Bourbon

60ml maple syrup

120ml heavy whipped cream

1 tbsp brown sugar

 

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix together the whipped cream, maple syrup, and brown sugar, and whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. In a cup, add the coffee and Bourbon.
  3. Add two tablespoons of the cream mixture to the coffee and stir to combine.
  4. Use the rest of the whipped cream mixture to top the coffee and serve.
